it’s a … ??

So to update the story so far:
Life returns somewhat to normal here on Sherbrooke St. Back into routines with work, groceries etc. Dan’s school is going well but there is lots to catch up on. As he said, he’s not sure if it’s a “sink or swim” semester so far, but he does seem to be flailing enough to keep his head above the water.
AND THEN … the boxes arrived. We shipped 15 boxes of Mom’s stuff in a “cage” with Canada Post and they arrived last week! Dan picked them up with Dave and Sanan’s (extremely kind) help last Friday. All weekend I sorted, cleaned and stored. She had some pretty cool kitchen stuff and I really like her garlic press – I have already used it twice. She also kept some of my clothes from when I was younger (some she or my grandmother made) so I washed everything and put it in storage. Between returning home and this past weekend I have done 10 loads of washing. Hmm, it sure would be nice if we could use all those cute girl clothes, eh?
Since starting as a “tickle” two weeks ago, this baby has developed some serious dance moves. I’m really surprised at the strength of some of the kicks and squirms I can feel already, and there are still 22 weeks to go! I had my routine check-up with the obstetrician last week and today had another ultrasound. Everything is looking very good. We could actually see the kicks in the ultrasound, apparently this baby thinks I am a good work-out facility. Oh yes, and the gender? Well I wasn’t sure earlier if I wanted others to know, but now it seems like part of the baby’s personality, so we are both happy to say … it’s a girl! (OMG, ponies!!!) Will post name suggestions later and would greatly appreciate your input.
