Birthday/x-mas wishlist updated

March 19 06:Well its time for an update…Dan bought the Brazil soundtrack for me so I have modified the wishlist.
Every year around my brithday or Christmas everyone asks me “So what do you want?” and I can never think of anything. To prevent this from happening, I’ve decided to adpot the whole “wishlist” meme and make one comprised of relatively inexpensive gifties…but keep in mind these are just suggestions!
I always ask for this and here it is again: A charitable donation to the Interiational Campaign to Ban Landmines or the Red Cross
Gift certificates to Ikea or Rona
Obey gravity T-shirt, size small
usr/bin/girl T-shrit, size small
The Complete Origami book
Poisson d’or by José Frèches
A box of real mandarin oranges (excellent x-mas present, and it can be done…just ask a certain cousin…)
Tea from Cargo and James including but not limited to: Samurai Rooibos, any of the Chais, Cream Earl Grey, Blackcurrant, Prince of Wales, Almond, Earl Green, Jasmine & Flowers, Markesh Mint, Morgentau, Jasmine Gold Dragon, Morocco Mint, Rooibos Caramel, Orange Blossom Oolong, Copacabana and Jasmine Gold Dragon (yes, as you can surmise I’m a bit of a tea-freak)
This neat tea travel mug, any colour
Brazil movie soundtrack
Hero (2002) movie DVD
Anything by Philip K Dick (note I already have Solar Lottery and the Simulacra)
So there we go – I can think of gift ideas!

Karen, I really enjoyed the caramel tea that you brought to Edith’s last Thursday. I’m an eager new-comer to the tea world. My sister-in-law, who has a café in the States, gave me great tea for Christmas (chai, silver needle, citron oolong, iron goddess of mercy,…) and I’m having fun figuring it all out. Do you have favourite tea places in Montreal?

Hi Andrea! Thanks for commenting!
I’ve found the one on Emery (Camellia sinensis) is nice. Lisa introduced us to it. They have high quality tea, although I have found its a bit pricey. The tea room is nice to visit too. For something simple like Mate or Gunpowder green its cheaper to get them at a healthfood store but they have a good collection of jasmine balls, whites, and oolongs. I also go to the one on Monkland once in a while.
I have found that the places I have been to in Montreal doesn’t really do tea blends and so I think every 6 months I might put in an order to Cargo and James (I used to go to one in Edmonton) for some more exotic blends like lemongrass/mint etc. They have a great Prince of Wales in addition to the Rooibos Caramel one I brought to the tea night. Maybe I’ll do a tea pool sometime … there are quite a few people at Cx who like tea so if we split an order then we can try a variety of different blended teas from them and not pay for shipping if its over $35.

Am I the only one who thinks splashing a command to obey gravity across one’s bosoms is a bad idea in the long run? I mean, sure, we all know they’ll eventually do it anyway, but is it really something you want to encourage prematurely?
(The Unix shirt, on the other hand, hot-cha!)

Oooo I never thought about that! It was a guy’s shirt first and then a girl’s version was made…. I guess they didn’t think about that either!!
