I got up at 5:30 this morning with good intetions (i.e. going to work) but by about 6:30 the game was up. I’m not exactly certain what is wrong, but I don’t feel that great today and haven’t been very hungry and my back & stomach hurt (occasionally). I did move my akward and heavy desk at work around on Monday and I am wondering if I messed up my back a bit. Anyway, I hope I’m back to normal tomorrow because I have lots and lots of things to do at work. Although, I do think the new desk arrangement is much better. I think I will do quite a bit of blogging today to take my mind off the fact that my stomach feels horrible.
Dan has a concert to sing in at lunch today and then a dress rehearsal tonight for the Vanier College Choir Christmas Concert on Thursday! Also Dan has 8 final exams this week! How is that possible – he is only taking 6 classes?!
I was just looking through Jordon Cooper’s photoblog and I have to say – Saksatchewan looks so clean. No garbage, lawns that are mowed, straight pavement and sidewalks. I think Montreal could look clean too if they gave a half-assed effort at tidying up once in a while! The above photo is our view of the building across the street. Notice the cracked asphalt and the big nasty pile-o-leaves that someone has parked on. It has been there since the end of October. I think the city must have collected them all in a big pile with the intetion of coming back to get them, but forgot.
Notice the lack of snow! It is December for goodness sakes! It just doesn’t seem right that we don’t have snow yet. I know it will come by the bucketfull in January and February though. We do have lots of wind right now, so if anyone in another part of the country wants to take some of our wind, be my guest. I’ll send it expresspost.
I bought bagels on Sunday from D.A.D’s bagels on Sherbrooke and it was probably one of the best bagels I have ever tasted. Our roommate in Edmonton told us that Montreal had the best bagels and I didn’t believe her then, but I do now!
